Coffee Brick (ร้านกาแฟและอาหารสุดชิคบนเกาะภูเก็ต)

Coffee Brick is the first drive through coffee shop in Phuket!

We had popped in here just to go to the Shopping Mall (Tesco-Lotus in Chalong) and we ended up here. Coffee Brick is actually a Thai firm and it does embrace Social Media; website, facebook, Google+ and more.

And here's the best description - from Thailand 'Word of Mouth'.

Coffee Brick Phuket is a, chic cafe and restaurant located on the beautiful island of Phuket. Originating from the concept of K. Ice, company owner of Piramid Solutions Co., Ltd being one of Phuket's largest and most successful IT integration companies supporting many of the islands most prestigious 3,4 and 5 start hotels and condominium developments. Khun Ice is known throughout the island of Phuket to have a passion for flavor and atmosphere for coffee shops. He has long aspired to open his own coffee shop and so by using the many businesses that he has already has, he drew inspiration to open his new coffee shop with a very unique style; Coffee Brick, which is located at Tesco Lotus in Phuket.

Coffee Brick is characterized by an atmosphere that was created from a modern loft chic concept. It is comprised from 4 large shipping containers that overlap each other to give a very attention-grabbing and distinctive appearance. The name Coffee Brick became the inspiration for the name based on the idea of the decorative style of the restaurant using the shipping containers. The interior of Coffee Brick reveals the unique structure whilst offering beautiful architectural shapes in the parking area in front of Tesco Lotus. The interior is designed to meet the needs of customers with a variety of coffee and baked goods created for locals and tourists alike from every country. Coffee Brick's exotic atmosphere offers a wide choice of feelings.

The description is extremely accurate and I felt that it was unnecessary to try to write my own.

The Coffee Brick was a small welcoming place with small toys for our daughter to play with.

There was a sumptuous selection of cakes and if you are a chocolate addict then then one above was the one for you.

The coffees were great - the coffee was hot and was smooth without adding sugar (just my type of coffee) - if you are near here or shop in the centre next door I would recommend popping in.

Factory Coffee - Bangkok

Are you looking for that Cafe dedicated to the coffee? Then I would recommend Factory Coffee - it was a delight from beginning to end - if that's what you want.

It looked interesting from the outside and inside it was cool (not cold) and decorated minimally. I was drawn instantly to the 'slogan' at the back.

I had to stop again for a coffee at Factory Coffee - I had a special this time. The seating was mixed styles and I chose to sit at a bar - I was only having a cake and coffee.

I took my numbered empty Mekhong bottle and waited. There were not the usual collection of people in the coffee shop and there was not the usual chords for the Wi-Fi - in fact I don't think I checked.

"Awarded National Thailand Barista Champion 2017 and Indy Thailand Barista Champion 2016, this coffee bar offers the space for Phaya Thai’s hipsters come here for creative coffee mocktails pawed over by floppy-haired baristas amid raw concrete, vintage Americana and dry floral bouquets paired with homemade bakery or fill up on the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast, river prawn spaghetti and Caesar salad." - BK.asia-city review

My carrot cake arrived first but I chose to wait for my 'El Brown' - double layer of espresso and chocolate milk.

Whilst waiting we list to John Coltrane... I was young again - in that bar in the West End in London...

Then the drink came and I took a sip - and was surprise at the quality - I really should stop buying coffee off the street...

The carrot cake was a perfect combination...

This is certainly worth a stop if you like your coffee or bring some coffee for someone who does.

The Coffee Maker

After a trip in the rain to the Laem Chan park - where there were a plethora of mosquitos Jemma and I decided to drop into the market on the way home.

Jemma bought some window transfers of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the such like and I chose to have a coffee at the Coffee Maker - adjacent to the local market.  It was a very quiet place - the coffee shop is in the newly built building.

There was not a lot of atmosphere in the shop - but the 'barrister' was very helpful and made me a cup of coffee - which was not the best cup of coffee but it was a welcome break in the rain.

Pancake Corner and the Coffee Club (The Limelight)

Pancake Corner and the Coffee Club is a franchise in Thailand for deserts (primarily Pancake dishes) and coffee.

We usually go in here for a coffee (and then get a cake) - it is adjacent to the food hall on the ground floor.

The coffee shop is simple and quite artfully decorated.

The coffee is great and it is worth visiting here after some food in the food hall.

If you really need that cup of blended tea they have that as well.

True Coffee - Silom Road

True Coffee is a popular franchise in Thailand - there are a plethora of them and I have to admit that they do serve very good coffee.

And they serve their coffee in a real cup - it is wonderful and one reason why I go there repeatedly.

It also serves as a meeting place for many to conduct business and I am not sure about this - maybe I am rude to the franchises of coffee shops but they can be a little annoying - nuff said.

This True Coffee is close to to an office that I have to visit and is always a pleasure but wish that the WiFi would not be so complicated to access, i do not have my passport.

Approximate Price: $$$$$
Address: Silom Road

On On Coffee Shop

The coffee that they served here is Kopi coffee which is a Thai brand of coffee which I enjoy BUT the coffee shop is / was also a restaurant serving breakfast and the smell was overpowering so I was unable to enter in.

The Coffee Shop is adjacent to the On On Hotel in Phuket Town which was made famous by Leonardo Di Caprico because it was featured in The Beach.

Kopi de Phuket

This is a small and interesting restaurant that I have visited a number of times because of it's very convenient location in Phuket Town.

I do remember having an iced coffee during the Phuket Vegetarian Festival - whilst those outside were partaking.

On reflection of that I really do not recall that many types of drinks there were in the restaurant and I was happy that I wanted an iced coffee. The restaurant itself is an attraction and it does attract a great deal of Thai people - serving breakfast whilst I was there.

This made me looks a little bit more at was for sale in the shop and there was a plethora of items. However today was just an iced coffee. The iced coffee was strong and a little sweet - just the way I like it.

I believe that there is a Kopi Phuket at Phuket airport now but I have yet to try it.

Tiny Coffee

Despite it's name the Tiny Coffee Shop is not only a coffee shop.

We go in here on a regular basis because they are some outlets in Phuket (see the Map). The App that you are also able to download for free allows you to have a number of discounts as well.

The outlets are almost Western in design - white is the theme and the tables are chairs are mixed. We usually have a quick meal here. The Tiny Coffee has an enormous amount of different selections. The one we visited here is offered Hongsyok House - where the Baba Wedding Ceremonies begin...

The Thai food is really quite good - the dish that I have is almost a fusion food Fried spaghetti with Thai sausage is my choice - delicious.

I usually have the Black Sesame Dumplings in Ginger Tea - sweet for many but also delicious.

In fact download the App now and you are able to look at the whole menu and the number of dishes is very large - certainly worth a visit especially something quick but tasty and no feeling of 'fast food'.
