The Green Man

For a swift escape to a Traditional oak beamed Pub - try The Green Man.

The pub certainly stands out as you approach it because suddenly you are transported into the countryside in the UK.

I ordered a Thai dish and macaroni cheese.  The Thai dish was dreadful but the macaroni cheese was superb - unfortunately my daughter got to eat that one.

There is a restaurant upstairs called 'Carte Blanche' which has some good reviews and is open in the evenings.

BUT there is a rumor that it's been taken over?

Fatty's

If you are in need for come 'farang / meat and potatoes' food at a good price then visit Fatty's - it is quietly busy and there are a number of regular clients - Russell from the Sunset Bar took me!

The mashed potato and gravy is a real pleasure - and real.

For many people who live here it is a favourite - forum.

Peang-Prai Restaurant

Our daughter wanted an elephant ride and my wife Chuen chose to take Jemma to the Bang Pae Safari in Thalang.

The reason that Cheun chose this safari was that we could have lunch at the Peang-Prai Resort & Restaurant.

The food was great - we had Thai food and ate it Thai style - putting all the dishes in the middle and sharing them. The best fried rice with prawns I have had was in this scenic location.  The staff were lovely and so attentive - we visited the Gibbons and the Waterfall and came back for coffee and ice-cream - the Cappuccino was tasty and beautifully presented.

I don't need to be asked if I want to return.

Coffee Max

Coffee Max is a trade name in Thailand - but my choice of location for Coffee Max is on the roundabout in old Phuket Town.  You can sit outside and watch the world pass you by - a wonderful spot.

Then if you have some fresh ice cream then it is even better.
