Coffee Beans by Dao

Coffee Beans by Dao was a coffee shop that I pass quite regularly and we visited here once. It was a wonderful visit.

The coffee and the cakes were splendid.

The decoration of the cafe was a little too much for my taste but with the cake this good it did not matter!

After visiting here I was quite happy to know that there were more outlets to choose from in Bangkok.

They served food as well but we did not try the food - next time.

ครัวแม่ศรีเรือน สาขาสุขาภิบาล 3  OR Mae Sri Ruen is a popular chain Thai restaurant which we have visited a number of times.

Always a good selection of dishes here and the prices are very good - not a lot of nationalities here though. This means that the food is prepared for Thai people so prepared for the dishes to be hot!

This Tom Yam was too much for me - although I did mange to pull out the prawns - the soup was blistering!!

Happy to have my beer iced...

I was happy to get an ice cream and coffee at the end of dinner though.

There is the possibility of sitting outside or sitting inside - for us the outside is more comfortable.

Coffee Shop in Siam Paragon

 

Siam Paragon is a great place if you have got money and you like to go shopping - it's not the cheapest of shopping malls...

Then on the ground floor there are a number of restaurants and coffee shops and this is where I usually end up whilst others are shopping... 

Au Bon Pain

Au Bon Pain is a popular favourite for my daughter and I - a regular weekend visit for us... 

My daughter always has the American Toasted Sandwich and I have the Breakfast Bagel...The coffee is good as well...

Okay it's not Thai but sometimes you want something like this - we like it so much we got a member's card.We used to visit one in Phuket but it closed...

Factory Coffee

This was a wonderful find - and I am happy to have returned again. Okay it is more expensive so I certainly could not manage to go there regularly - got a card from them to stamp to get but I needed to visit daily to get a free one!

It sill looks like the focus of the coffee shop is the coffee that they serve.

Which means that even the different coffees are worth trying...

MK Restaurants

MK Restaurants (The Mall Bangkapi) เอ็มเค เรสโตรองต์ (เดอะมอลล์บางกะปิ).

We have visited the MK restaurant a number of times. This is certainly a restaurant which focuses on the group and something to share together.

I do not get involved it - my friends certainly know what they are doing - they great a great number and it is given to you in a number of different things.

The hot water is prepared for you in the middle of the table.

As the water is heated the dipping sauce is made.

Then vegetables are added.

 Then more is added. We have been to the different places of number at the MK restaurant and I have found that that the food seems to be a bit plain...

ไล-บรา-ลี่ Cafe Coffee break at li-bra-ry

ไล-บรา-ลี่ Cafe Coffee break at li-bra-ry was something I came upon by a mistake and was very glad that I did. There was something happening at the Siam Emporium - Game of Thrones - Pencil Sculpltures - so I made a visit.

This coffee shop was adjacent to a library at the end of the corridor on the top floor so 

it was quiet and was not very busy at all 

- although the library was.

Not that I minded - I enjoyed high coffee there and have since returned when I am in the area.

 

Siam Paragon - Food Mall

Siam Paragon is a very expensive and enormous Shopping Mall.

However on the ground floor there are a number of restaurants - I have visited a couple (Camp Curry springs to mind) thinking about this I have visited here when they have shows on the top floor and there is also an aquarium on the bottom floor.

But today it was time for lunch... I was pleased that it was like any of the other malls that I had visited.

The taste was quite ordinary - I visited the Chinese... and it was not that more expensive than what I had previously be paying.

 

Rest Note Cafe

Rest Note Cafe is somewhere which I was passing to get somewhere else - along the very long Phayathai Road as I was leaving the Victory Monument.

 It was air-conditioned and it was quite quiet - about 11am in the morning. It was only after I left that I realized that there was also food available there - I was obviously there when the other people were only drinking as well.

I think that the location would appeal to a number of tourists - there was also a TukTuk adjacent to the table that I was sitting. But whilst I was there there were no tourists.

The coffee was was smooth and the water was ice cold.
