Vanit Place - Food Court

The Food Court in the Vanit Plaza is one that I enjoy entering into quite regularly - one of the better ones.

There is a Cafe Amazon in front, Cashpoints and a small shop.

The Food Mall Bangkapi

The Food Mall at Bangkapi is on the lowest floor in the shopping mall - if you come in the front you go down the escalator and if you come in off the river taxi it is the floor that you come in on.

Like many food malls in Thailand there is a lot of choices of food and what seems to an impossible selection of dishes to choose from - I have now given up walking round and ask my wife to choose something for me.

Buy a coupon (big bit of plastic) at the entrance to the food mall and then get a tray - then take the piece of plastic around the food mall choosing the dishes which look appealing to you the most.

This can be done a little carefully as you do not want the plastic money to run out - so put 100 - 200 Baht on the plastic and DO NOT forget to get the money  left over when you leave.

Siam Paragon - Food Mall

Siam Paragon is a very expensive and enormous Shopping Mall.

However on the ground floor there are a number of restaurants - I have visited a couple (Camp Curry springs to mind) thinking about this I have visited here when they have shows on the top floor and there is also an aquarium on the bottom floor.

But today it was time for lunch... I was pleased that it was like any of the other malls that I had visited.

The taste was quite ordinary - I visited the Chinese... and it was not that more expensive than what I had previously be paying.

 

24OK! Food&Bistro

24OK! Food & Bistro is somewhere I had to escape to me because it was raining.

This is a standard food mall where you first purchase a card to purchase your food and drinks.

When our food is prepared for you then where the food is prepared for you there are a number of condiment for you to add.

When you are sitting at the table there were no further condiments - so I did not realise this until I was too late - whoops - next time I will know how this works...

Central Food Loft

Central Food Loft is on the top floor of a popular shopping mall - Central Chidlom. It is tastefully organized and there are a great number of choices for you - from Asian food to French mussels.

You take a card when you enter and then give the card to each cooking station and they add on what you have received - much like a traditional food mall but I would imagine that this description would not be well received.

It is a wonderful spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Bangkok - the service was exemplary and the air-conditioning was welcoming.

However if you are looking for some delicious food then it was not what we found - but if you are looking for a 'trendy and upmarket dining concept' - then this is successful.

The cakes were very nice though.
