Natural OR Thamachad (5th visit)

Jemma and I chose to go here again because of the variety of decorations (scary masks personally) but Jemma thought that it was great.  The staff are wonderful and the food was good (and they have ice cream).

Shark Fin soup!!!

I write a blog with John Gray of John Gray Sea Canoe and one of his posts was regarding the culture of fishing for sharks for simply their fins.  I was surprised to see that you can also purchase shark fin's soup - the food was not that good either.

Starbucks

Well you have to enter in.  Starbucks are World renown for their coffees.


After sampling this Cafe Latte I knew why - perfect but more expensive, this is what you pay for. This was purchased from the branch at the front of Central Festival near Phuket Town but I would imagine that all the branches are very similar...

Then the Tops supermarket was selling take away frappucinos at a very different price?
Competition or did i not look at the 'best consumed before' ?

Thai Hua Coffee Shop

What a little find - a small coffee shop in the heart of 'Old Phuket Town'.

It is on Soon Utis Road - okay the coffee was not to my taste - it tasted like a Thai traditional coffee - very strong and it needed a lot of sugar.

Traditional Roti in Phuket Town - Phuket Muslim

There are a number of traditional Thai shops where Traditional Roti's are cooked.
This choice was certainly popular with the local people - and they were good BUT as you can see the coffee was certainly local and very strong.

The Secret Cove

We went in the late evening and it was already closed - but have heard some good things about it.


This was close to the restaurant - a tree with flip flops nailed to it!

Bugs on the street

Well you should try them ONCE!

They are a popular food from Issan - close your eyes and crunch.

The Cafe Andaman at Cape Panwa Hotel

Superb - a Cappuccino at Cape Panwa Hotel and the beans were from Bon Cafe.

Phuket Seafood Fiesta August 2011

In August 2011 there is a promotion regarding Fresh Seafood in Phuket - 
have a look - I have visited some of them.


To be a little cynical I would imagine that the restaurant paid to be in the brochure?
