This was just on the outskirts of Phuket Old Town and a new restaurant is always worth a visit.
So we did - the small restaurant was really quite intimate and were made to feel quite special - the decor was clearly new but you were not made to feel uncomfortable if you were having a look at things.
We had a number of different items to choose from - the menu seems really to cater for the Western Market so we had a delve. The deep fried cheese straws were crispy and quite clearly fresh - fabulous!
Then came the avocado salad - looked beautiful and the dressing was lovely but the avocado was not ripe, it was rigid to cut - maybe it's me getting old and this is the way to eat fresh avocado?
Then the chop had far too much garlic dressing over it that the meat was no longer a distinguishable meat and the chop was far too fatty - this is one of my wife's favourite dishes...
Then the Irish coffee - I love to drink Irish coffee and was excited to see that there was a trolley set up to prepare the coffee (Like at work) but the coffee was not of quality and overpowered by the amount of alcohol and then the 'squirty cream' was added...
I think that this was (January 2013) the soft opening...
