Rawai - by the road

One of the best 'Yam Pa-dook fu's' (Spicy Mango salad and crispy cat fish - aroi) that I have had on Phuket island.  I purchased at a cafe on the beach front in Rawai - there was no clear name and the bill did not have one either - but it is on the sidewalk facing the sea.

But not this bit of sidewalk.

  

Boncafe in Phuket

Boncafe is not a coffee shop but they supply the coffee to a great number of establishments around Phuket and the Cape Panwa Hotel.


They also service our coffee machine from home - thanks guys - and since we are such loyal customers we got a book with a plethora of coffee drinks in - watch this space....
             

Flints-one Bakery in Rawai

I am spoilt for all the choices for food in Rawai - but when I need the air-conditioning, a chocolate croissant and a reasonable coffee I hide in here.

I also like to take the chizoro sausages home to top the pizzas that I make.

This is a tiny coffee shop in the window of Robinson's Department store in Phuket.


Lovely hot or cold, espresso,cappuccino and more - the list is endless.

             

Roti in Phuket Town - Aroon Restaurant and Abdul

What you must try whilst you are in Phuket town is a roti from many of the local businesses - this particular one is on Thalang road.

The Chef defies pure logic with his pastry he juggles, he pulls, he pushes THEN he stretches and whirls it around - a miracle defying all the logic that i learnt in Physics.

Then comes the drizzled condensed milk - best served with a Thai traditional coffee - Kopi coffee is a popular one - very strong - there is a Kopi coffee shop in Phuket....
