สะเลเต สาขา 4 is sometimes referred to as a Som Tam (ส้มตำ) shop - green papaya salad.  Which means that you are able to purchase a great variety of that very special dish which is immensely popular in Thailand and as a visit. But the plethora of choices meant that I had to ask for two types - a simple one for me and a classic Thai one for the family - this one had the salted / preserved crab.

The other dishes were also popular with the Thai family - some great photographs on Foursquare by visitors.

This meant that I got my own mango and sticky rice...

Coffee Me

What a wonderful surprise - waiting for a river taxi and there was a coffee shop on the side.

Very nice - whilst waiting for the next one.

There was a tiny spot inside if you needed air-conditioning and a restaurant next door - I chose to watch the river taxi's.

 

Tenyuu Beyond

Quick - for the rest of the soft opening - until the end of the year? The cost is 50% the normal rate - and normally this is expensive...

The restaurant has just opened so it was clean and well set out.

There were clearly some teething troubles as many things I asked for were not yet available.

However the dishes I had were very nice.

BUT would I have paid 100% of the bill?
NEVER - far too expensive...

Dean and Deluca

Dean and Deluca is a coffee shop throughout Thailand and there are a number of locations which you can visit.

Not the cheapest coffee but I do like the chocolate that you get with it!

It is also a place to buy bits for your kitchen - at some locations.

Ban Phak Wan

Ban Phak Wan - บ้านผักหวาน is a wonderful place to visit - it is near our home and is so tasty I could not tell you how many times we have gone back.

This dish is the one that caught me - Yam Pak Wan - this was vegetables dip fried in batter and then mixed with a spicy sauce - delicious.

The noodles were wonderful but were certainly powerfully spicy!

Then the fish rings came out.

The tables were wonderful - have you wondered where all the old bath tubs went!

Then I looked further - the sewing machines again.

 

Kurious Cafe

Kurious Cafe is a special place which I came across when I across when I was looking for something else...

It was certainly a fascinating place - if you are interested in design then this is a place to visit - what was the roof? When I write this I read that it was described as one of Bangkok's Coolest Cafe.

The surroundings were certainly interesting and the coffee was smooth. I then saw that if I tagged the coffee shop I would get a discount.Had a very nice dessert...

It was only after leaving that I found that it was part of ir-on Hotel.

Eat Sight Story Deck

ESS Eat Sight Story แขวง พระบรมมหาราชวัง กรุงเทพมหานคร ประเทศไทย is a restaurant which we were taken to after a visit to the Grand Palace.  

We dined next to the Chao Phyra river and we had a great night view of Wat Arun.  

This meant that I watched the river boats and it was really quite busy. So much so that I had not read the menu and it was a bit dark - but they had Christmas lights on the tables.

We had a selection of Thai dishes which were really quite good and we ordered more. The service was very good and we were certainly looked after.

Then we had desserts and it continued.

It was a most wonderful view and if you really want to take photographs of the adjacent Wat Arun it would be advisable to arrive earlier of take camera equipment. It is certainly a place to take someone if you want to show them something special.

Suzuki Coffee is a small coffee shop in the Wave Place off the Wireless Road.

This is a place that I visit if I am looking for a quick nibble and it is certainly worth it.
