Teppan Sushi & Grill (closed)

Teppan Sushi and Grill is a place that you visit and it was wonderful. It is hard to remember what the restaurant was before it was changed to what it is today but it was called Coffee Ice.

The decor is simple and very tasteful - well we liked it!

The staff were helpful and listened to our every need... Well we were a little sceptical because it took them a long time to produce our order...

This was the dish of the year - wow...

The pieces of the cheese were wonderful...

The decoration was spectacular... We would go back just for this dish!!!!

ซุปเปอร์ติ่มซำ - Dim Sum

ซุปเปอร์ติ่มซำ was a wonderful Dim Sum restaurant to visit - it was so busy that it was fun just watching the amount of people coming in! How they managed to keep on top of the billing I do not know - ask someone else!!!

The amount of Dim Sum that was available in the fridges was a true representation of how popular ซุปเปอร์ติ่มซำ is.

Choose your Dim Sum by simply pointing at the ones that you want and then they pile them carefully on the steaming water for approximately 5 minutes and lovely fresh Dim Sum!

My favourite is the Chinese Tea! I could drink this all day! So what if the menu was not in English - so please do not enter expecting it to be simple.

Okay it is not the most beautiful set up and it is a little rugged at the corners but the Dim Sum was great.

We have returned a couple of times since and it was just as busy each time!

Mee Ton Poe (1)

Mee Ton Poe is the noodle shop in Phuket which has had the most written about it - Travelfish and Phuket.com for example.  . It certainly is popular with the local people so sometimes it has meant that we had to wait to get a seat!

Well Mee Ton Poe has certainly got an extensive menu and they have a menu in English. For me I usually eat with my wife (who is Thai) so it is usually easy to get ordered. There is also a menu on the wall and if you really need more take the Thai Talking Food App to help you order the dish that you want.

We usually have Chicken Satay.

Thai Iced Tea.

Steamed fish in banana leaf - Hor Mok.

On every table there is a selection of things to add to your noodles - dry chilli, chilli in white vineger, salt and fish sauce. The noodles are served with a noodle spoon and chopsticks - authentic and wonderful.

The menu is quite extensive with all the Traditional Thai dishes but we are a little lazy and stick to the usual.

But any of the Noodle selections has been great I always choose to add the onions and the crispy pork when I visit here - always crunchy.

Previous visits - quite a regular visit here but no posts
