Harmonique

Harmonique was a wonderful find on a walking trip though Bangkok - John Bush and more.  

What an amazing place to find! Walking along the back streets and then a sign and an old building 

- time for a coffee then (next time food). 

It clearly has a lot of history to the restaurant and unfortunately I can find nothing. 

There is a tree growing in the building and the restaurant is very popular with the Chinese Tourist currently.

Definitely worth visiting to have a look at the number of historical artifacts which are scattered throughout the rooms.

Odds Rock Steak

Odds Rock Steak was somewhere air-conditioned and convenient for me to visit after I had been on a trip on the river.

It looked like it was more of a Steakhouse in the evening but quiet in the day and I had a very pleasant green curry.

If it was convenient then I would visit again but not if I had to travel to it.

Coffee Beans by Dao - Central World

We just had to go again. This time we had lunch and it was wonderful - I do not know what more I can add to my previous reviews...

The starter with the salad in the coconut cream was wonderful.

Then came the deep fried fish - another wonderful creation.

Then the pièce de résistance - the cakes.

And the coffee was a wonderful accompaniment.

Thank you again for another fabulous lunch.

Wine Connection

We do visit here quite often - I would rather the company took care of us with a regular card than getting a discount from a variety of Apps - the one that I use is eatitgo. 

We had the regular bits but this time we were onto the specials (the lamb was very nice) and there was a new menu on this visit.

It is a popular place we visit and is very Western.  

The chocolate was great with the coffee...

Apichart Seafood

Apichart Seafood - อภิชาติ ซีฟู้ด สาขาเคหะคลองจั่น - is a typical Thai restaurant and it was a beautiful dinner - this is somewhere which we both thought was fantastic!

There is nothing spectacular about the decor of the restaurant - very typical.

Sitting down we decided to have the fresh prawns - and they were wonderful - very big and very fresh - that was great.

Then came the crab in the curry sauce - happy that I was not trying to make a good impression this is not easy to eat - delicious!

Then the deep fried fish - freshly cooked and not simply referred - wow - wonderful.

Very, very satisfied. I did wonder about this film swimming around but upside down...

Amorn Lake Front

Amorn Lake Front is somewhere near home and it was wonderful.

The first thing that I recognised was the beauty of it's location - it is around a lake and is wonderful - I did wonder how safe it was if there was a little too much alcohol?

Luckily enough I was with my family which are Thai so everything was ordered for me when I arrived AND the food was wonderful 

- we could not get enough. I have to admit to admit to popping around the corner for a coffee though.

We were there a long time and the lights around the lake went on.

Mungkorn Seafood 3

Mungkorn Seafood 3 is a local restaurant and it serves the most wonderful array of seafood. 

The hardest thing about coming here is that you have to cook the food yourself. There is an enormous selection of seafood to choose from and you must first prepare the table burner.

Then what do you want to eat - go and get it.

It's that simple - but expect to make a real mess though - not a first date dinner!

There was some meat as well - cooked elsewhere and very tasty.

Then there was ice-cream to finish with.  Soft drinks were included but you needed to pay for the beers but it was certainly worth it...

Then I read on-line that there was a limit to the time, 499 Baht, you had to pay extra per minute and that the seafood was not fresh enough....

Coffee beans by Dao - Siam Paragon

Coffee Beans by Dao is a wonderful restaurant and Cafe which we have visited a number of times, the usual one was in Central World but this time it was Siam Paragon. Again - it was certainly worth visiting, the food was great, cake delicious and the coffee smooth. There might be a lot of people so if you really need to go you might want to phone them up before you go - I do now.

There is a wonderful selection of foods to choose from and they do have a little something - here's the menu - and there is a very big choice!

Was even able to eat the whole crab - and thought it was delicious.

Then we shared the main dishes - tasty.

And of course the cake with some meringues in it....
