The Chalet
This is a local restaurant for us in Ao Makham.
There is also a residence attached which look very nice - have a look at
their website
for more details.
We enjoy going here - always a pleasure (a map is forthcoming).

Bake
Found a good coffee shop and croissants - Bake - they are part of the Twin Palms group - their coffee and nibbles are wonderful - but NOT cheap.
My first taste was of an outlet in front of the Dusit Laguna Complex after the
Fun Run
.

Peang Prai (2nd visit)
This restaurant is in the North of Phuket island. We choose to go go here when we visit
Bang Pae Waterfall
and the
Gibbon Rehabilitation project
.
The food was clearly freshly prepared and the deep fried fish in crispy lemon grass was superb - a very real must.
Then the coffees were superb - wonderful
wonderful food

Kopi De Phuket (โกปี๊-เดอ-ภูเก็ต)
There are a great number of coffee shops throughout Phuket but one brand that really does stand out is Kopi coffee - a wonderful selection of types and always good quality.
This coffee shop is in Phuket town on Rasada Road.

Tung Ka Cafe (ทุ่งคา-กาแฟ) - Rang Hill
We chose this restaurant again (see
previous blog
) because of all the things that were mentioned previously.
This time we wanted to get away from the town and last week there were some monkeys.
The food was great - again but there weren't any monkeys - another excuse for a visit :-)
